Unless the Lord watches over the city, the watchman stays awake in vain.” <br />“It is in vain that you rise up early and go late to rest, eating the bread of anxious toil; for he gives to his beloved sleep.” <br />(Psalms 127:1-2; ESV)<br />

Home Building with the Lord<br />“Behold, children are a heritage from the LORD, the fruit of the womb a reward.” <br />“Like arrows in the hand of a warrior are the children of one&apos;s youth. “<br />“Blessed is the man who fills his quiver with them! He shall not be put to shame when he speaks with his enemies in the gate.” <br />(Psalms 127:3-5; ESV)<br />

  7. 7. The Great Architect<br /><ul><li>God designed the family, shouldn’t He be involved with the construction?
  8. 8. There is no middle ground, either the Lord builds or it is vain (verse 1, 2).
  9. 9. Even the diligent cannot hope for success if the Lord is not involved (verse 2).</li></li></ul><li>The Great Architect<br /><ul><li>The Lord will provide (Genesis 22:8).
  10. 10. The Lord will take care of those committed to Him (Matthew 6:25-34).
  11. 11. Notice that one’s heart must be in Heaven (Matthew 6:20) and he/she must be seeking God first (Matthew 6:33).</li></li></ul><li>The Great Architect<br /><ul><li>Notice that the Lord is not only the Architect, but also the guard.
  12. 12. The Lord will guard the city (Psalms 121).

  14. 14. The Heritage<br /><ul><li>The New American Standard translates the word “heritage” as “gift.”
  15. 15. Joy and protection are the results of fruitfulness in bearing children.
  16. 16. Jesus speaks of the joy of bearing children (John 16:21).
