Let’s define “evangelism”:
“Evangelizo” – proclaim glad tidings
“Evangelion” – the good news we proclaim
“Evangelistes – the messenger delivering the good news.

4 Reasons for Evangelism
The Command of Jesus
“…Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you.”
(Matthew 28.18-20; ESV)

The Cry from Below
“And he said, 'Then I beg you, father, to send him to my father's house-- for I have five brothers--so that he may warn them, lest they also come into this place of torment.‘”
(Luke 16.27-28; ESV)

The Call from Without
“And a vision appeared to Paul in the night: a man of Macedonia was standing there, urging him and saying, ‘Come over to Macedonia and help us.’”
(Acts 16.9; ESV)

The Constraint from Within
