Sign Up ForScouting (SUFS)• Our biggest recruitment effort for new girl and adult members!• Girl Scout representatives visit schools to talk to girls about Girl Scouting.• Sign-up events for new girls and their families.• Why? Fall Opportunity Sale• Annual friends & family sale of nuts and candies! 2012 FOS Dates• Start the Girl Scout year off o September 9 – 20 - Troops by earning funds and host Girl and Parent Meeting learning new skills! o September 21 – October 7 -• Look for volunteer training Girls take FOS Orders sessions scheduled near you! o October 9 - Troop Orders Due o October 22 – 26 - Product arrives to SU Delivery Sites o October 26 - November 12 - Cupboards Open o November 12 - Money due from Girls

Introducing…LEAD Teams• Last year we introduced the new Service Delivery Model.• Now we’re ready to start building LEAD Teams by filling those volunteer positions from the Service Delivery Model.• LEADERSHIP – ENERGY – ACTION – DELIVERY• Find the role that fits your skills, interests and availability!
  9. 9. VolunteerReappointments • We review and reappoint volunteer positions each year. • Please get your registration submitted in order to be reappointed! • Let your MVP Specialist know if you are planning to continue or if you’re looking for a new role on the LEAD Team!
  10. 10. GPS – Girl Program Schedule Check your mail in September for your GPS – your guide to activities and partnerships around the council!

Volunteer ApplicationProcess • Beginning this year, all volunteers will need to resubmit their application and authorization for background check every three years. • This is for the safety and security of the girls! • You will receive notification to resubmit your application after three years. • If you know it’s been more than 3 years, please go online and fill out the application. Online Registration• Parents can register their daughters and/or troops can register their members ONLINE.• Troop Leaders can also look up rosters from the online system!• Note for Troop Leaders: if you register or re-register troop members through the online system, please continue to collect a paper registration form with a parent/guardian signature for girl registrations, and an adults own signature for adult registrations. Indicate on the form that the registration has been submitted online. These forms can be turned in to your closest GSKH office or mailed directly to the Wichita Girl Scout Center.
