Extreme events impacted civilizations: high losses of human lives and very long terms changes in the environment.

Impact on large settlements and their support infrastructures has cascade effects also on remote locations and smaller settlements.

Data and model sharing agreements between all existing monitoring networks should be established (e.g. CTBTO-WMO agreement for atmospheric transport models)
