USA lags but catching up<br />

Alan Simpson began talks referring to social security as a “milk cow”.<br />That same day, AARP launched text message campaign to its 44,000 subscribers alerting them to the news and giving them the option to leave a voice message.<br />Within 24 hours, they had 870 heart felt messages supporting social security and finished with 975. A 2.2% response rate. (Typical email advocacy benchmarks 3.3%)<br />Calls were sorted and sent to appropriate Congressional district<br />Texting: Advocacy – AARP<br />AARP Breaking News: Fiscal Comm member Simpson attacks Social Security recipients.
