Opportunities for Everyone:
Everyone is an artist and we would like to
show your work! Our six group shows each
year showcase the talents of local
community artists. We have hung work by
artists as young as 2 and as old as 89 and
are still looking to push those boundaries.
To hang work join the “Call for Entries”
event on our facebook page or email us
about the requirements and necessary
information.
Our gallery has shown:
Drawing, Painting, Film, Photogra-
phy, Jewelry, Performance, Live
Poetry, Sculpture, Music, and Much,
Much More.
Learning Opportunity:
WAS and PAG connect community members to
learning opportunities in the arts. Private
lessons, group classes, gallery opportunities,
and arts organization information are always in
circulation on our facebook page as well as in
converstaion at gallery events. By using art as a
community building tool, we are working to
support our local economy.
One dollar spent locally will become ive
to ten dollars in the community.

What is Your Art Form?
Our History
The Pedestrian Art Gallery was co-
founded by Peter Macaluso and Gabriele
Spear in 2010 after the two had
returned from the college art scene and
found that cultural inluence lacked in
their home town. As a result, Macaluso
and Spear took it upon themselves to
create a free gallery opportunity for
artists of all ages. Having a monthly
show, allows for family participation and
a fun, free Friday night out on the town.
In April of 2011, Macaluso and Spear
received the Washingtonville Art Society
from a former member and have been
working to revise the organization to
meet the standards of a community
organization that provides opportuni-
ties to all economic situations.
WAS and PAG strive to promote educa-
tion and exhibition of the arts. The
society and gallery are particularly
interested in helping high school
students intent on furthering their
education in the arts by providing
portfolio building programs and gallery
hanging events.
