  • 4. Pros and Consof using offline softwarefor presentations (likeOpenOffice)
  • 5. ProsPros● Most of this offline presentation softwares arefree. OpenOffice is one of them.● You can create presentations without anInternet connection.● You can save your progress anytime you wantwithout worrying that the Internet will go down.
  • 6. Cons● You can only access to the presentations youhave made on the computer where you havecreated them.● These presentations occupy space in your harddisk.● If you have to format your pc you will loose thepresentation.
  • 7. Prezi
  • 8. ● Prezi is a Hungarian software company, producing acloud-based presentation software and storytelling toolfor presenting ideas on a virtual canvas.● The product employs a Zooming User Interface (ZUI),which allows users to zoom in and out of theirpresentation media.● Prezi was officially established in 2009.● Prezi is developed in Adobe Flash and Adobe AIR andis therefore compatible with most modern computersand web browsers.
  • 9. Pros and Cons of usingonline websites (likePrezi) for makingpresentations
  • 10. Pros● You can access anywhere to yourpresentations.● You can share them easily with your friends, teachers, etc. This websites usually includedirect buttons to share your work by email.● The presentation is stored in an online cloud soyou wont loose it in case your format yourpresentation.
  • 11. Cons● You need an Internet connection otherwise youcant access to the presentation.● If you forget your ID or password you wont beable to access to your presentations.● The Internet connection may go down and youmay not be able to save your progress.
  • 12. Final Opinion● If you need reliable software to make a simple, but very good presentation and you dont havean Internet connection you can use a programlike OpenOffice.● On the other hand, if you want to experiencewith something new, and you work on manycomputers at a time you can use Prezi.● A good thing about both programs is that theyare free.
  • 13. My Opinion● Personally I prefer to use OpenOffice. I think itis more reliable beacause you dont needInternet to make your presentations. Also if Iwant to see my presentations on anothercomputer I can always put them on a memorystick. I think it is easier to use than Prezi. Theonly thing I like about Prezi is that it has morefeatures than OpenOffice. You can add videosand background music.
