The City of Boulder’s Water Distribution Info. Suite is a collection of three ArcGIS Server JavaScript websites developed by City of Boulder Utilities Program Analyst, Matt Taran. Two websites – Boulder’s Water Distribution Info.Center and Boulder’s Mobile Water Info. Center – are public facing websites that allow community members and city staff across all city departments to view authoritative, geographic-based, water distribution system information. Specifically, the two public facing web maps display emergency shut offs/repairs and planned water projects for the current calendar year. The data displayed in both maps is identical, with the desktop version including expanded functionality. Both the desktop and mobile versions include a tool for the public to report water distribution problems directly to the city’s enterprise Customer Relationship Management (CRM) System. A third website - Water Maintenance Editor – is an internal only website that allows city staff to map water system events (main break, etc..) from the field on their iPhones for display in the two Water Info Center websites. This presentation will include a live demonstration of the desktop version and mobile version of Boulder’s Water Info. Center. Additionally, I will demonstrate how the Smartphone editing web map is used to edit directly to the city’s enterprise SDE database and how that data flows to the public facing Water Info. Center.
