 Bauer Media is a division of the Bauer Media Group, Europe’s largest privately owned

 They joined the Bauer Media Group in January 2008.

 In 1994, the company bought a small magazine called For Him Magazine which is now the core
of the best-selling international multi-platform brand FHM.
 In 1996, we acquired digital music TV channel The Box, which has grown into Box Television, a
seven channel joint venture TV business with Channel 4.
 Continuing its history of magazine launches, Closer was launched in 2002 and Britain’s first
weekly glossy, GRAZIA, was launched in 2005.
 Currently, Bauer Media spans over 80 influential brand names covering a diverse range of
interests including heat – the must have weekly celebrity title, and such as Parkers, MATCH!, CAR
and Yours.
 Bauer Media is a sister company of H Bauer Publishing, the publisher of the UK's biggest TV

 I believe Bauer Media would be the most appropriate publisher for my
music magazine because:

-They have experience with three other music magazines and therefore
would know the conventions and content that a successful music magazine
needs to contain to sell.
- Not only are these magazines music magazines but they all conatin
features of the Rock genre and as that is my focus then they will also know
what a Rock magazine should contain to attract a target audience.
- Also most of their music magazines have a core or feature audience of
youth and as young people (16-20) are my core target audience then Bauer
would know exactly what my target audience prefers in a music magazine.
- They are the biggest magazine publisher in the UK and cater for many
diverse interests.
- They are supported by many other well known companies.
- They have almost covered every type of target audience and so will know
a variety of preferences and successful features in not just a music
magazine but a standard magazine.

  • 5.  I believe Bauer Media would be the most appropriate publisher for my music magazine because: -They have experience with three other music magazines and therefore would know the conventions and content that a successful music magazine needs to contain to sell. - Not only are these magazines music magazines but they all conatin features of the Rock genre and as that is my focus then they will also know what a Rock magazine should contain to attract a target audience. - Also most of their music magazines have a core or feature audience of youth and as young people (16-20) are my core target audience then Bauer would know exactly what my target audience prefers in a music magazine. - They are the biggest magazine publisher in the UK and cater for many diverse interests. - They are supported by many other well known companies. - They have almost covered every type of target audience and so will know a variety of preferences and successful features in not just a music magazine but a standard magazine.
