    • Policy 3211 - Behavior that is directed at a person or group of people based on race, gender, national origin, religion, age, marital status, disability, or any other “protected class”.

    • Unwelcome conduct of a sexual nature.

      • Comments, slurs, remarks
  • Applicability of policy
    • Policy 3211 applies to:
      • Students,
      • Staff,
      • Administrators,
      • Parents,
      • Volunteers,
      • Vendors …..
  • Process involved if a violation is alleged
    • Building/Site Level Administrator:
      • Immediately forward information to Administrator
      • Building/Site Level investigation and/or resolution
      • Forward to District Compliance Officer when appropriate
    • District Compliance Officer:
      • Larry Sera, Assistant Superintendent for Human Resources
      • Formal Investigation and/or resolution
      • Maintain records
    • Office of Diversity Affairs:
      • Resource and Ombudsperson
      • Maintain records in conjunction with Compliance Officer
  • Possible consequences for violating Policy 3211
    • Malicious harassment may be reported to law enforcement
    • Students:
      • Discipline which may include suspension and/or expulsion depending on mitigating factors
      • Mandatory training
    • Staff/Administrators:
      • Appropriate progressive disciplinary action depending on severity of misconduct
    • Vendors/Volunteers/Others:
      • Termination of services
      • Required to leave PSD property
  • Retaliation Provision
    • A person who initiates a complaint under Policy 3211 and/or participates in the investigation of a complaint will not be retaliated against!
    • Building Administrators and staff will take appropriate precautions to protect students from retaliation!
