Patrick Atkinson founded The GOD’S CHILD Project, an organization dedicated to “breaking the bitter chains of poverty through education and formation.” ITEMP was created as a sub-program of The GOD’S CHILD Project in response to Atkinson witnessing forced slavery and human trafficking. The GOD’S CHILD Project and ITEMP has grown to serve 5,000 poverty-stricken and orphaned children, and 8,700 abandoned and widowed mothers and their dependents through education, housing, medical needs and counseling.
