  • 3. In December 2006, I presented a white paper titled “An information society for all” to the Norwegian Parliament Government white paper titled “An information society for all” to the Norwegian Parliament
  • 4. Independent Competence Center
    • The Friprog center is working for innovation in both public and private sector.
    • As an independent competence center, our mission is open source in the public sector
    • spreading knowledge, building networks and offer arenas for sharing.
    • Get our funding from norwegian Government
  • 5. The White Paper covers a wide range of issues:
    • Round the clock public administration
    • Digital inclusion – including access,
    • Research and development in the ICT sector,
    • Universal design and skills for all
    • Open source, sharing of source code in the public sector and an open source competence center

  • 13. Norwegian software Exchange
    • A Norwegian open source repository
    • Delingsbazaren.no is a platform for sharing and re-use of Open Source software for the public sector.
    • It is possible to upload and download software and solutions,
    • Launched april 2008 with 25 projects and another 20 in the «pipeline»
    • The portal lists vendors from activ projects.

    • Close collaboration between the nordic countries
    • delingsbazaren.no is based on the source code from the danish open source repository - softwareborsen.dk
    • Learning and reusing from the other Nordic countries gave us a flying start
    • Developing feeds between the nordic plattforms – cross border search for software
    • We are working on a quality assurance program (based on Open BRR ?).

      • Video
      • Elearning material
      • Screencasts
      • Cours material developed by the public sector
    • Our goal is 50 source code projects by the end of this year and 2 of the projects being reused by more then 10 other public agencies
