Le soleil et le vent - the sun and the wind Le soleil et le vent - the sun and the wind Presentation Transcript

»One day the sun and the windquarreled about which was thestronger. The wind said, “I’llprove I am. See that old mandown there with a coat? I bet Ican make him take his coat offquicker than you can.”
So the sun went behind a cloud andthe wind blew until it was almost atornado, but the harder it blew, thetighter the old man wrapped his coatabout him.
Finally the wind calmed down andgave up; and then the sun cameout from behind the cloud andsmiled kindly on the old man.Presently, the man mopped hisbrow and pulled off his coat. Thesun then told the wind thatgentleness and friendliness werealways stronger than furyand force.
