  1. 1. Photo Shoot ReviewBy James Fox
  2. 2. Aim of ShootThese are the images I have taken from Media City in Salfordquays. From these 10 photographs have been chosen to partakein my project for Magazine layout and Design.
  3. 3. Description of shootOn the 28.1.13 a trip to Media City UK was trending. The outing was organisedto prepare us for location rekey within a task given from our photography unit atcollege. The process consisted of observing for still landscape images andbuildings were a great example as you can see to the right. These are the setting I used for my photography shoot in Media City.. A lot of thepicture depends on the settings chosen with are depicted briefly. Throughout mycomposition of photographs only little faults were caused because of the smalladvanced options within the camera’s qualities.
  4. 4. Editing effectsFor this image I openedthem in Photoshop and thenadded an effect calledgrayscale and then switchthe background colour tosepia that I designed to helpme to enhance the imageryand detailed within theimage.
  5. 5. Final ImagesI think the strengthsof detail within thisimage are depictedthrough thegrayscale affect that Iapplied in Photoshopand also the coloursepia also addedextra brightness.
  6. 6. Capture log• Setting - Auto• Shutter Speed –1/60 s• Aperture – f/2• ISO - 200
  7. 7. Editing effectsI think the strengths of this photoincludes things such as thecomposition which went well asthe use of rule of thirds. Theediting was good because Imanaged to get a very goodcolour to the image that enhancesthe brightness. I also usedgrayscale which really boostedthe boldness of the image andhow solid it was.
  8. 8. Final ImagesI think the strengths of this photoinclude things such as the solidimagery which when editedaffected the overall outcome ofthis image. The editing was goodbecause I managed to get a verygood affect that really made theimage superior to other images, italso dead-end the image. I alsoused grayscale which reallyboosted the boldness of theimage.
  9. 9. Capture log• Setting - Auto• Shutter Speed –1/60 s• Aperture – f/2• ISO - 200
  10. 10. Editing effectsI think the strengths of this photoincludes things such as theconformation which went well asthe use of rule of thirds. Theediting was good because Imanaged to get a very goodcolour to the image that enhancesthe brightness. I also usedgrayscale which really boostedthe boldness of the image andhow solid it was.
  11. 11. Final ImagesI think the strengths of this photoincludes things such as theconformation which went well asthe use of rule of thirds. Theediting was good because Imanaged to get a very goodcolour to the image that enhancesthe brightness. I also usedgrayscale which really boostedthe boldness of the image andhow solid it was.
  12. 12. Capture log• Setting - Auto• Shutter Speed –1/60 s• Aperture – f/2• ISO - 200
  13. 13. Editing effectsI think the strengths of this photoincludes things such as thearrangement which portrays thelikeabilitys of the image as theuse of rule of thirds is used well. The editing worked well as Imanaged to get a very goodcolour to the image that enhancesthe brightness. I also usedgrayscale which really boostedthe boldness of the image andhow solid it was.
  14. 14. Final ImagesI think the strengths of thisphoto includes things such asthe arrangement whichportrays the likeabilitys of theimage as the use of rule ofthirds is used well. The editingworked well as I managed toget a very good colour to theimage that enhances thebrightness. I also usedgrayscale which really boostedthe boldness of the image andhow solid it was.
  15. 15. Capture log• Setting - Auto• Shutter Speed –1/60 s• Aperture – f/2• ISO - 200
  16. 16. Editing effectsFor this image I openedthem in Photoshop and thenadded an effect calledgrayscale and then switchthe background colour tosepia that I designed to helpme to enhance the imageryand detailed within theimage. I think the depth offield was used really well inthe photograph.
  17. 17. Final Images• Grayscale and the sepiacolour really portray the depthof field in which thisphotograph has gone. Also, that the design has morebrightness and become morebold. Also, reflection andshadow are used which theeffects of this image withinPhotoshop.
  18. 18. Capture log• Setting - Auto• Shutter Speed –1/60 s• Aperture – f/2• ISO - 200
  19. 19. Rejected ImagesThe main reason I didn’tchoose these images arebecause of their invernessand how they reveal deepunnecessary objects anddon’t fore come myexpectations but the I took theimages comes down to beingadventuress.
  20. 20. Aims for next project• I’ve learned a lot from this photo-shoot as pre-production for further actions are applicable as itreally affects the overall outcome of the editedimages.• The things I’d change are only to be morespontaneous such as the shutter speed and aperture.
