Looking over these lyrics, I think these are a set of lyrics which have a
lot of potential for different interpretations and will allow us to
experiment with some interesting concepts in the narrative side of a
music video. I think the main message that the lyrics are trying to put
across to the audience, about just going in the direction life takes you
and to trying to break free from stressful situations is a message that a
lot of people would be able to relate to so therefore our video would
have the opportunity to be influential and have an important impact
on our audience. I also think that this set of lyrics would allow us to
use some interesting and more complex editing techniques. For
example, we could experiment with different types of focus during the
chorus parts of “I’ve got a war in my mind” and we could use slow
motion during points of significance such as when the most important
lyrics of “just ride” are being sung to reinforce the intended message.
