    Docs à venir sur France 2 - Presentation Transcript

    1. EDITO A la veille d’une mutation importante pour l’ensemble de la pro- fession, quelles leçons peut-on tirer de la politique menée par France 2 ces trois dernières années ? En permettant l’existence sur France 2 d’une case mensuelle consa- crée aux documentaires en première partie de soirée, Patrick de Carolis et Patrice Duhamel ont gagné leur pari. Alors qu’il n’y a pas si longtemps le documentaire était injustement programmé aux confins des grilles de programmes, on constate aujourd’hui qu’il crée réguliè- rement l’événement et que le public semble approuver cette politique : 14-18, le bruit et la fureur a rassemblé 5.8 millions (21.5 % de parts de marché), L’Assassinat d’Henri IV, 4.8 millions (17.2 % de parts de marché). Ensuite, il en est du documentaire comme des autres genres : instal- ler des rendez-vous stables et visibles en terme de contenu, est indis- pensable en deuxième partie de soirée. C’est chose faite avec "Infrarouge" qui, derrière "Envoyé Spécial", constitue aujourd’hui une vraie marque et offre aux téléspectateurs une soirée cohérente et en même temps riche de diversité. Enfin, avec une bonne équipe, on se sent plus fort. En permettant à chaque conseillère de programmes de se spécialiser dans un genre particulier (l’Histoire, la Société, les Sciences), nous avons constitué une équipe motivée, aux compétences reconnues. Elle a réalisé un vrai travail d’accompagnement et d’échange avec les producteurs et les réalisateurs, portée par la volonté de privilégier une grande diver- sité dans la sélection des projets, donnant sa chance à des premiers films (Né sous Z ou Ados nomades) ou soutenant des talents en de- venir (Hugues Nancy, Jean Robert Viallet ou Michaël Prazan).
    2. La politique éditoriale de France 2 va-t-elle évoluer dans les mois à venir ? Franchement, il serait dommage de remettre en question des choix plutôt couronnés de succès. Nous continuerons à accorder une place à la grande Histoire : de Louis XV, le soleil noir, à De Gaulle, l’autre guerre (l’Algérie), sans oublier La chute du mur (de Berlin). Le docu fiction ou les films d’archives retravaillées, voire colorisées (à l’instar de la prochaine série Apocalypse de Daniel Costelle et Isabelle Clarke) fédèrent, par leur forme séduisante dans le domaine de l’His- toire et de la Science, le public de première partie de soirée. En réa- lité, tout dispositif créatif et récréatif permettant de transmettre de la connaissance trouve sa place sur France 2. Nous restons donc à l’af- fût des idées les plus innovantes pour autant qu’elles soient au ser- vice d’un propos documentaire rigoureux. A cet égard, nous vous donnons rendez-vous à la rentrée avec le programme « inclassable » de Christophe Nick, La zone Xtrême.. En deuxième partie de soirée, la marque "Infrarouge" s’est imposée durablement comme un espace d’observation et de décryptage des nouveaux mouvements de fond de la société et un lieu privilégié pour mettre au jour les fractures de l’Histoire récente. Quand on enchaîne avec succès un thriller politique, Qui a tué Maggie ? de William Karel, un essai courageux sur la légalisation de la prostitution, Les travailleu- ses du sexe de Jean-Michel Carré, ou un film d’investigation histori- que exceptionnel sur la réalité méconnue des Einsatzgruppen : les commandos de la mort de Michaël Prazan, on a vraiment envie de poursuivre ce travail exigeant. Par ailleurs, nous sommes à l’affût de nouveaux champs d’investiga- tion dans le domaine de l’histoire immédiate comme celle des camps français, la relecture de l’histoire des Antilles, ou celle des relations entre la France et l’Afrique. Avec la crise, nous avons décidé de nous attaquer à la problématique du travail – avec La Mise à mort du travail (réflexion en trois volets) ou avec un film sur "l’esclavage moderne" - et aux contradictions du capitalisme financier avec L’histoire d’un krach. Enfin, nous nous intéressons également aux mutations et aux paradoxes de notre société, avec un film sur la recherche de pater- nité, un autre sur les externements abusifs. Par ces temps de crise, le documentaire reste au cœur de la télévi- sion de service public et donc de France 2. Terrain privilégié de l’ex- ploration du monde, il enrichit sans cesse notre réflexion.     3. CHIFFRES INVESTISSEMENT 20 millions d'Euros. TOP 4 DES AUDIENCES À 20H35 Ils rassemblent en moyenne 4.1 millions de téléspectateurs pour 15.7% de part d'audience. TOP 4 DES AUDIENCES D’INFRAROUGE Depuis janvier 2009, la case rassemble 1.4 million de téléspectateurs chaque semaine (15% de part d'audience). BAROMÈTRE QUALITATIF DES 20H35 Depuis janvier 2008, la note moyenne des documentaires en prime time est de 8.1/10 sur France 2 . C'est une note largement supérieure à la moyenne des prime time de France 2 (7.7). BAROMÈTRE QUALITATIF D’INFRAROUGE La case Infrarouge obtient aussi une note moyenne excellente: 8,1/10.
