  • 1 Unveiling new Ford PAS curriculum configuration— Two reasons for theme-based organization of materials: Creation of new modules, which don’t fit into the original 5 courses Ways in which people actually use the modules—much more varied; original courses were constraining. (Curriculum was always intended to be flexible, and in practice that has proven to be the case.)
  • Find out how many people have used the Ford PAS curriculum at least once? How many are totally new to the Ford PAS curriculum? Are you aware of the “nuts and bolts” of the Ford PAS program and the print material? Have you wondered what types of adaptations you could make? Can you use the material if you have block schedules? This session will include: (1) the exploration of the print curriculum materials; (2) a hands-on discovery of the material; and (3) an opportunity to win a prize by applying what you learn in the session.
  • New way of describing the curriculum as a whole Note new total number of modules (actually could say 20 ½, because we are also completing a math-enriched version of Planning for Business Success) Greater range of length (what we find happens in practice)
  • Original 15 modules—minus the original course designations. Teacher Guide you now have. Module is included in “Manufacturing for Tomorrow” theme.
  • As noted previously—5 new modules PLUS Math-enriched version of Planning for Business Success Sonya—fix art….title of PfBS is wrong
  • There are 2 types of pages Teacher and Student in the teacher guide. Some of the pages are slightly out of order. Some of these teacher pages may vary according to the module. Possible answers and Homework. DISCUSS BLOCK SCHEDULING WHEN LOOKING AT PLANNING CALENDAR (calendar assumes 45-50 minute class periods)
  • Icons used to maintain consistency through out all of the modules. For web site resource, teacher information, and skill resource can be embedded as a watermark or to the side .
  • ST- updated with M6 new TG pages
  • Waiver forms are found on the website under the student center or teacher center.
  • Lynette has used portions of modules. Didn’t have the time. When do the project, do it as designed. Examples….Debate in People at Work fits with Business Law course…and….
