GEO Fitness is the only supplier for this specialized equipment. Funding from 21st Century Community Learning Center funds. 2008 Approval Change Order – WFMS Attachment 2008 The Superintendent recommends approval of deduct change order for Yarborough Development, Inc. and payment to Triad Engineering the amount of $4,960.95 for non- compliance testing and on-site testing during repaving at the West Fairmont Middle School. 2009 Approval Bids – Bread/Buns Attachment 2009 The Superintendent recommends the approval to extend the bid with Flowers Baking co. for the 2009-2010 school year. 2010 Approval Bids – Milk/Dairy Products/Juice Attachment 2009 The Superintendent recommends the approval of bid to supply milk and dairy products from United Dairy, Inc. for the 2009-2010 school year. No other bids were received.
    • 2011 Approval Payment – Beltline Redevelopment Plan Attachment 2011 The Superintendent recommends approval of payment to the City of Fairmont in the amount of $10,312.50 for amount due for contracting services with Alpha Associates, Inc. to prepare a Beltline Redevelopment Plan. The payment is 55% of total payment amount the Marion County Board of Education agreed upon of $18,750. 2012 Purchase Pre-K Classroom Materials Attachment 2012 The Superintendent recommends approval of purchase of Pre-K classroom materials, for new site at East Fairmont High School, in the amount of $17,223.21, from Hatch, Inc. Hatch, Inc. is sole company that includes materials delivered, put together and organized in classroom according to state standards and a free computer system for Pre-K students. Funding from Title I Funds. 2013 Approval Pre-K Agreements Attachment 2013 The Superintendent recommends approval of Collaborative Preschool Interagency Agreements with Bright Beginnings Child Care Center, Rivesville Heart Junction Child Care Center, Sunbeam Child Care Center LLC, and United Methodist Child Care Center, for preschool collaboration to cooperatively provide services to participating students, in compliance with all federal and state laws and regulations, for a high quality preschool program. 2014 Approval Pre-K Memorandum of Understanding – NCWVCCA Headstart Attachment 2014 The Superintendent recommends approval of Memorandum of Understanding with North Central West Virginia Community Action Association, Inc. Head Start Program. 2015 Approval of Agreement with WVU-Teacher in Residence Attachment 2015 The Superintendent recommends approval to enter into an agreement with the Special Education Department at West Virginia University to provide an employee, Holly DeVito, to serve as a Teacher in Residence for the 2009-10 school year. WVU will reimburse Marion County Schools. 2016 Approval Mechanic Services – Headstart Buses Attachment 2016 The Superintendent recommends the continuation of the agreement with the Marion County Board of Education Transportation Department and North Central Community Action to provide mechanic services on Headstart buses. 2017 Approval Agreement – HealthWorks Rehab & Fitness for Athletic Trainers Attachment 2017 The Superintendent recommends the continuation of the agreement with HealthWorks Rehab and Fitness, Morgantown to provide athletic training coverage for the 2009-10 school year for East Fairmont, Fairmont Senior and North Marion High Schools at a cost of $13,500 each. 2018 Purchase of Transportation Vehicle Attachment 2018 The Superintendent recommends approval to purchase for the low bid, a 2010 Explorer from Wilson Ford in the amount of $21,131.35 for use by transportation department. Funding from Transportation funds, 80% reimbursement from state. The following bids were received: Wilson Ford 2010 Explorer $21,131.35 Corwin Ford 2009 Explorer $23,543.00
    • 2019 Purchase Drivers Education Vehicle Attachment 2019 The Superintendent recommends approval to purchase a drivers ed car for Fairmont Senior High, for the low bid, a 2010 Focus from Wilson Ford in the amount of $12,757.00. Funding from Transportation funds. The following bids were received: Wilson Ford 2010 Focus $12,757.00 Corwin Ford 2009 Focus $13,612.00 2020 Approval Agreement – Use of Building – Hickman Run for Head Start Attachment 2020 The Superintendent recommends approval of agreement with North Central WV Community Action Association, Inc for use of Hickman Run School building for a Head Start Center. 02-3000 CONSENT CALENDAR RECOMMENDATION: Motion _____________ Yeas:______Nays: ________ Items Pulled ___________________________________ 3001 Approval to Adopt Resolution Attachment 3001 The Superintendent recommends a resolution stating that the Board authorize the Superintendent to take steps necessary for the Board to join as a party plaintiff in litigation seeking to relieve county boards of education from the requirements of chapter 5, article 16D, of the West Virginia Code with respect to the reporting and funding of Other Postemployment Benefits, including relieving county boards of education from any obligation to contribute to the West Virginia Retiree Health Benefit Trust Fund in any amount over and above the Minimum Annual Employer Payment, and with the understanding that such litigation will also seek to declare the State’s responsibility for all reporting and funding requirements of the same statute with respect to Other Postemployment Benefits on behalf of employees for county boards of education. 3002 Volunteer - Coaches The Superintendent recommends the following: Fairmont Senior Kenny Hibbs Soccer Prof employee 3003 Professional Leave The Superintendent recommends the following: JoDonna Burdoff Special Ed Nov 17-19, 2009 no sub needed OCALI Conference and Exposition, Columbus, OH expenses paid from Federal IDEA funds 02-5000 PERSONNEL RECOMMENDATION: Motion _____________ Yeas:______Nays: ________ Items Pulled___________________________________ 5006 Retirement - Professional Personnel The Superintendent recommends the following: Sally Manly - Instructor, East Fairmont Effective: 6/30/09 5007 Resignation - Professional Personnel
