Imagine Your Life Today If No One In Your Family Had Ever Graduated from College.

Just imagine how hard it would be to go through the entire college application process with no support. No emotional, financial or experiential support. You probably remember applying to college. You know the risks required and determination needed.

But, it's hard to be first when you lack the resources and support you need. Only 1 out of every 10 first generation college students will earn a bachelor's degree within six years.

First Graduate is working with you to change that - together we can make a better San Francisco.

An investment in a First Graduate student is an investment in all of our futures. Together, let's make a better San Francisco. A donation to First Graduate provides tutoring, college application fees, and family education workshops to name just a few of the ways you can make a difference.

Join us to inspire the next generation of First's. #InspireAFirst

  • 1. WHAT DOES IT FEEL LIKE TO BE FIRST? You know because you’ve been there. Maybe you were the first to achieve something or maybe you remember the feeling of succeeding for the first time. But, it’s hard to be first when you lack the support you need to be successful. 8 students make it past the first year of college. 6 students earn a degree. 2 will graduate with a Bachelor’s degree. By 2025, California will be 1 million graduates short of the number it will need. Only 15 percent of students in the San Francisco Unified School District have a family history of college going. College graduates earn over $1 million more throughout their working lives compared to students who only receive a high school diploma. 100 percent of First Graduate students are accepted to accredited colleges and universities. For every dollar invested in education, there is an average return of $2.50 to the San Francisco economy. A Donation to First Graduate Provides: Tutoring College Application Fees Family Education Workshops #INSPIREAFIRST First Graduate helps students in San Francisco become the first in their families to graduate college.
