  • 1. Al – Qur’an is the holy book forMuslims .It is the miraculous word ofAllah (SWT) revealed toProphet Muhammad (SAW)through the AngelJibreel (AS) .
  • 2. Al-Qur’an is divine revelationthat has reached through aholy connection i.e. fromAllah(SWT) ,through AngelJibreel (AS), to ProphetMuhammad (SAW) .
  • 3. Its revelation started in the month ofRamadan in 610 AD .At that time the Prophet Muhammad(SAW) was in a cave called Hira .The Prophet (SAW) was 40 years oldduring the first revelation .
  • 4. The Angel Jibreel (AS) continued to teachthe Prophet (SAW) Al -Qur’an .The revelation continued for 23 years of lifeof Rasoolullah (SAW) until he passed away .At this point , revelation of Al – Qur’an wascompleted .
  • 5. Some of theProphetsreceivedBooks fromAllah (SWT)but werelaterchangedexcept Al–Qur’an .
  • 6. The word “Al-Quran”appears 56times in theHoly Book

  • 14. Now let’s know about some namesin our Qur’an .
  • 15. Maryam (AS) is the only womanwhose name is explicitly mentionedin the Quran and her name is alsothe title of a Surah ; it is 19th Surah inAl – Quran .
  • 16. Zaid Ibn Harithah (RA) was theonly Sahabi who has his nameexplicitly mentioned in Al – Quran.
  • 17. There are four mosques in Al – Quran : Masjid-ul-Haram in Makkah Masjid-ul-Aqsa in Jerusalem Masjid Qubaa near Madinah Masjid-ud-Dirar constructed byhypocrites of Madinah for the purposeof causing trouble .
