  • 4. INSTALLATION -Panel Placement- <ul><li>Upon approval of subgrade, CLI began to deploy and weld fabricated panels of 30 Mil PVC as shown on our layout drawings. </li></ul>
  • 5. INSTALLATION -Wedge Welding- <ul><li>All field seams were completed using a single track wedge welder. </li></ul><ul><li>This method allows us to immediately check seams for strength and continuity. </li></ul>
  • 6. INSTALLATION -Destructive Testing- <ul><li>To verify field seam strengths the following tests were performed: </li></ul><ul><li>Destructive Tests- 3’ X 12” were pulled every 500 LF of field seam. Five 1 inch wide samples were pulled in sheer and peel to verify conformance with the construction specifications and PGI/1197 specifications. Samples are retained as follows: </li></ul><ul><li>1 set to owner </li></ul><ul><li>1 set to GC </li></ul><ul><li>1 set to CLI </li></ul>
  • 7. INSTALLATION -Continuity Testing- <ul><li>Continuity Testing- was performed on all field seams using ASTN D 4464 air lance method. This method involves using a stream of compressed air 55 psi along the edge of the seam. CLI quality control technician and engineer visually looked for any loose or un-bonded edges along the edge of the </li></ul><ul><li>seam. </li></ul>
  • 8. INSTALLATION -Completion- <ul><li>Upon completion and acceptance of lining placement of 18” of drainage sand begins. </li></ul>
