    • The kingdom of Morocco has been experiencing an accelerated economic and social development, resulting in a sustained growth of demand in electrical energy of around 6,5% .
    • To meet this challenge, an investment plan has been developed to provide among others, an electricity mix, where Renewable Energies play an important role (wind, solar and hydro energy).

    • Creation of IRESEN “Institute for Research in Solar Energy and New Energies” on February 2011.
    • IRESEN is positioned at the level of applied and technological research in solar and new energies sector in order to :
      • Accelerate technological transfer and
      • Transposition of research results into innovative products
    • IRESEN will also be a projects agency by executing and participating in the funding of R&D projects.
    • The progressive extension of IRESEN’s intervention and infrastructure area will be done according to the industries needs and demand for R&D .
    • IRESEN’s main objectives:
      • To carry out the R&D in solar and new energies at a national scale
      • To ensure the definition of the research axis
      • To coordinate and reinforce efficiency in research
      • To develop innovation and encourage networking

    • A sectorial study has been done in 2010-2011 to specify the potential needs in human resources for Renewable Energies and Energy Efficiency sectors .
    • This research allowed :
      • To identify the labor market trends in these sectors
      • To define the specific job positions in these sectors
      • To diagnose current training offer, its correspondence to the requirements of job positions and training needs projections for 2020
    • Creation of Training Institutes for RE and EE jobs “IFMEREE” in Oujda, Ouarzazate and Tangier.
    • The Oujda institute will be operational by January 2013.
    • The Ouarzazate and Tangier institutes opening will be planned according to the services and industries development and needs in these areas.
    THE NATIONAL TRAINING STRATEGY IN RENEWABLES & ENERGY EFFICIENCY SECTORS
