    9. 9. NEW ROUTES TO A BETTER WORLD HEALTH FOR ALL CHALLENGE OF CHANGİNG HEALTH People are living longer and we have greater need to treat conditions prevalent in an aging population. Inadequate health care systems in low-income nations contribute significantly to their poor health outcomes Pressures such as these are reshaping health care industries. The need to increase productivity, accelerate time lines and overcome complexity Above all demonstrate value is changing the landscape.
    10. 10. NEW ROUTES TO A BETTER WORLD HEALTH FOR ALL THE POWER OF PREVENTION Life expectancy has increased a century ago. On average you could expect to live only to about 47 years in USA, 30 years in India and China. Life expectancy today has increased in China 75 years, in India 66 years and about 78 years in the USA. Astoundingly, about half the gains in health overall recorded history were achieved in just the past 60 years and most occurred before the introduction of modern drugs, medical devices and treatments. They came from public health programmes and disease prevention such as vaccination, better diet and exercise, lipid lowering medication and aspirin.
