The first bump in conversation came as USA and Canada’s women’s hockey teams faced off.   6. 6. Most Popular Sports & Events • Although curling still dominated conversation, hockey blasted its way near the top with 52,870 mentions. With the women’s hockey tournament heating up and the men’s event about to start, it’s safe to assume that conversation around the game will continue to increase. • Women’s halfpipe generated enough buzz to keep the sport in the top five with 28,670 mentions.
