How is a Comparative Adjective formed:
If the adjective is short add the ending –er.

Short Shorter
Full Fuller
Old Older
If and adjective ends in –y, preceded by a consonant, change the –y for –I and add –er.

If the adjective has more than 2 syllables (long adjective) we add the word more before the adjective to make the comparative.
