Mounted Mobile Devices Use Case: Farming / Combines Application: The customer, a company that rents farming equipment like harvesters / combines, was looking for a rugged on-board computer (data logger) for aggregating and communicating data coming from sensors and intelligent devices. Vertical Market Example Use Case Use Case: Green House & Cool Chain Monitoring Application: The customer, a mid size company growing and selling vegetables required a monitoring solution for their green houses (temperature, light, humidity) and for their delivery trucks (temperature, cool chain monitoring). The monitoring of both the green houses as well as the trucks is mainly to protect the investments in terms of “goods”. The truck solution was especially appealing because of the ability to react when a cooling system fails before the load is lost. The armored personnel carriers use an array of electronic equipment to provide information on the status of the vehicle and identify potential threats around it. The data capture system which uses the ISIS detects Improvised Explosive Devices (IEDs), as used by the Taliban Key Success Factors: Product: ISIS They needed deliver in 6 weeks – the ISIS being a COTS product meant we could meet it Found Eurotech very helpful ISIS was put through rigorous testing to ensure it would work in those conditions and not affect the other equipment and it passed. Eurotech engineers worked with customer engineers at all stages to ensure deadline was met.

Vertical Market Example Use Case Use Case: Value Transport Application: The customer, a leading value-transport company in Italy wanted to significantly improve the service level provided to a large banking group, making cash transport and counting more efficient and increasing security standards. The solution consists of providing the crews of the armored trucks of the cash transport companies involved in the contract, with a HRC4200 device. This device enables barcode reading, GPS positioning and the collection of other information with regards to the transaction. There is also the possibility provided that the bank contact person can digitally sign directly on the Eurotech device to confirm the transaction.
