  • 2. Event review 3 July 2014 The Teenpreneur Challenge 28th June 2014 at KPMG Birmingham ! On Saturday the 28th June 2014, 50 young people aged 14-16 from schools across Birmingham gathered at the prestigious offices of KPMG in Birmingham to take part in the ‘Teenpreneur Challenge’. The purpose of Teenpreneur is to develop the entrepreneurial skills and abilities of our young people whilst at the same time: • Developing their communication skills • Developing their leadership skills • Developing their team-working skills • Developing their employability skills • and building their confidence Teenpreneur 2014 report, Page 2 Above: KPMG Offices in Birmingham
  • 3. Event review 3 July 2014 The highlight for many of the participants was the special guest speaker at Teenpreneur, Justice Williams MBE. Justice shared her own personal story and delivered an inspiring workshop on ‘Courage’. Here’s what the students had to say about Teenpreneur… “It showed me that you don't have to have the best grades to achieve your goals, you just need to know what you want to do and stick to it.” Tyrice M. “I liked it a lot . At first I was not sure about coming but I came and now I think this has been a good experience.” H. Malik “It has encouraged me to take on more challenges in life”. M. Akthar “The programme is very inspiring and it gave me a new view on business and the courage to start a business in the future”. N. Verweel “I am motivated to do what I want to, to exceed what I thought was my limit” C.Thompson “This program was very useful because it improved my confidence and my communication skills”.
