Editor's Notes

  1. If you could help the brain development of your child/future child, or help an older loved one stay as healthy as can be, or even help yourself to become a happier and healthier person, would you do it?
  2. The audience should listen to my point because it could be constructive to not just themselves but their family or future family. I have found that listening to music while I study helps me greatly to concentrate while studying and if I listen to music while I try to fall asleep, I sleep much better.
  3. If I had to guess most if not all of you have someone in your family you would do anything for, help them in anyway, if not, I am sure if you could you would do anything to help yourself. This is worth thinking about cause listening to music is an easy and most times inexpensive past time that can help you or a loved one become a healthier individual.
  4. Listening to at least a half hour to an hour of music everyday will help people of all ages live happier and healthier lives.
  5. Listening to music can help babies/children’s brains develop better, help senior citizens offset dementia and cope with old age, and it can help adults to live much more relaxing and stress-free lives.
  6. Music can help kids development from the time their in the womb until they become adults.
  7. Music can be remembered from the wombRelieves stress
  8. Helps skillsReadingMathLearning body partsWord memory
  9. According to Dr. Diane Bales in the article Building Baby’s Brain: The Role of Music, “Classical music has a more complex musical structure. Babies as young as 3 months can pick out that structure and even recognize classical music selections they have heard before.”
  10. Helps senior citizens to offset dementiaLess depressedLess lonelyMore alert
  11. Music helps senior citizens cope with old ageFeel more relaxedComfortable if they are dying
  12. Helps to calm and relax adults after a long stressful day.Helps concentrationRelieves anxiety
  13. Stress is a main cause for high blood pressure, so music helps to lower high blood pressure.
  14. According to the website “How Music helps you de-stress” some ways to help you de-stress throughout the day using music is listen while getting ready in the morning, in the car while stuck in traffic, when cooking, when exercising, and when sleeping.
  15. People of all ages can benefit from listening to music everyday. Babies/children can become better learners, senior citizens can cope with the ending of their lives or delay effects of dementia, and adults can relieve themselves of stress, anxiety and improve concentration.
  16. I believe listening to music for at least a half hour to an hour everyday could benefit people of all ages.
