It is up to us as teachers to pave the way for our students future.

District Technology Plan
Each district in the state of Texas is required to complete and submit a district technology plan.

What is involved in the plan?
Improvement plans include goals to address needs of the district.
The district provides parameters for the Technology department to follow while developing the plan
The plan is reviewed by committees before it is submitted to the state.
A time line for when goals are to be completed.
Provide a well balanced curriculum to all students in order to meet individual students needs.
Integrating existing and emerging technologies into the curriculum.
Promote a school environment where students will learn and practice real world skills by using technology to communicate with others, access information, and solve problems.

Work to integrate technology into the classroom with the district goals in mind.
Universal Service Fund(E-rate) is a resource available to help our school and the district be able to achieve it’s technology goals
E-rate provides discounts for school to use in order to make sure that the school is able to provide a good technology education.

The district is doing their part.
It is up to us to complete the goals that the district has set out.
More importantly it is vital that we prepare our students to be ready for a world of technology.
