  • 2. Freitag, 18. Mai 12
  • 3. Diagnostic PAFreitag, 18. Mai 12
  • 4. Treatment plan: RCT through the lesion • Electrosurge to remove resorptive tissue, aggressive excavation cervical + access cavity • sealing of the access cavity with cavit, flap (intrasulcular), subsulcular build up with Geristore for retention of the rubber dam clamp • RCT one visit through the defect and definite restoration with GeristoreFreitag, 18. Mai 12

  • 6. Freitag, 18. Mai 12
  • 7. Problems • No retention and no tenure bond = Failure of Geristore build up! • No 1:50.000 anesthetics bleeding control wasn´t easy • Build up with Easybond (3MEspe and SDR (Dentsply) and RCT without rubber dam (My first endo without isolation in 5 years- blame it on me!)Freitag, 18. Mai 12
  • 8. Mastercone PAFreitag, 18. Mai 12
  • 9. Post OP PA • Cervical Filling: SDR + EasyBond (3MEspe) • Shaping Protocol: • Protaper Handfiles F2 MAF • FF 40 K file • warm vertical compaction (Sealer AH Plus) • Final Filling: Monobond plus + Syntac Classic + Tetric ceram A3.5Freitag, 18. Mai 12

  • 11. 4 days post OP suture removalFreitag, 18. Mai 12
  • 12. 2 weeks Post OPFreitag, 18. Mai 12
  • 13. Conclusion • No trichloracetid acid (to have good soft tissue healing- not a big fan of it anyway - I respect the ones using it a lot (Marga and Terry) but I think it´s not a conditio sine qua non • Geristore without Tenure bond needs good retention (did anybody use other bonding systems with Geristore?) • next time split rubber dam isolation (I was too „into the zone“ to think of it) • visibility for shaping and filling is very limited! I prebended files and pluggers like crazy • 2 weeks post op soft tissue and composite filling looks satisfactoryFreitag, 18. Mai 12 • prognosis: good
  • 14. Critics are more than welcome Thanks for your kind attention PS: Let´s go Bayern let´s go! ;-)Freitag, 18. Mai 12
