• Usually affects:
– YOUNG adult entire queens during their first
estrus: in average aged 3 months to 2 year old
•Under progesterone impregnation
•Or treated with progestins
•In rare cases:
– Prepubertal queens
– Spayed queens
– Tomcats
3. • General symptoms (uncommon):
– Weakness, anorexia, hyperthemia
– Pain
• Local signs:
– Quick growth/hypertrophy of the mammary
glands:
•Focused on 1-2 glands
•Or generalized to the entire tissue
- Mammary inflammation (uncommon)
- Lactation (uncommon)
