    • 3. Each is a CREATIVE advertisement that uses TEXT and IMAGES to convey a FACTabout the DANGERS of SMOKING.
    • 4. Your Objective: Create an effectiveanti-tobacco advertisement.
    • 5. It Must: be neat, appealing, and CREATIVE. include well-writtenTEXT. contain appropriate IMAGES. convey a FACT from thetruth.com.about the DANGERS of SMOKING.
    • 6. It Must:be CREATIVE.~ appealing to the eye~ neatly done~ eye-catching
    • 7. It Must:include well-writtenTEXT.~ no grammar or spelling mistakes~ legible font~ Do not include your name on the advertisement.
    • 8. It Must:contain appropriate IMAGES.~ Be creative with your choices.~ You may use Google to find images.~ All images must be appropriate for school.~ Set your SafeSearch settings to“strict”.
    • 9. It Must:convey a FACT from thetruth.com.~Use part of today’s class to choose an interesting fact from the “Fact Bin” located at http://www.thetruth.com/facts/.~ Read through the facts to choose one that truly interests you. Don’t just choose one of the first ten because they’re at the top.
    • 10. It Must:be about the DANGERS of SMOKING.~ You may put the fact in your own words, but do not CHANGE the information.~ The fact must “make sense” for the anti-tobacco advertisement. Non-examples:~ You may add extra text or a catchy slogan.~ Be creative, but use your OWN ideas...don’t steal someone else’s.
    • 11. It Must:~ be emailed to me before 7:50 on Monday morning.~ be an .jpg image.~ have the file name:firstname.lastname.anti.tobacco.jpg (using your first and last name...of course.)~ be well done. These will be published on the Internet. Take pride in your work! You never know where it might reappear.
    • 12. You May:~ ask Mrs. Lee for help.~ use Photoshop, Illustrator, or Keynote.~ brainstorm today and work on the final draft Thursday, Friday, and over the weekend.~ watch the Keynote tutorial I uploaded to the Wikispace if you want to hear some tips and tricks I use to make my Keynotes.
