  • 6. Anyone can login and create an account with SoG on our new website to purchase books from our shop or to book a course or event. You can even do some basic FREE searches on SoG Data Online. The Library Catalogue and website surname indexes are FREE to search and you don’t need to create an account. However you need to join and become a member to register with the site to view full entries and images on SoG Data Online, receive the Genealogists’ Magazine and obtain discount on publications, courses and the search copy service.

  • 19. Bank of England Will Abstract for Lawrence Spencer 1720. The BoE Will Abstracts record bequests of stock or shares. Lawrence Spencer senior was clerk of works to the building of St Paul’s Cathedral by Sir Christopher Wren. He inherited the Lottery annuity stock mentioned in the abstract after administering the estate of his son Lawrence junior. BoE wills index and images are on findmypast and SoG data online
