About Elisabeth Charman is an associate professor at Portland State University where she teaches in and coordinates the Graphic Design program. Her work has received recognition from the Art Directors Club, the AIGA, the (former) ACD, and Metropolis and How magazines. Her work has been exhibited and published nationally and internationally. She is a recipient of Sappi’s Ideas That Matter grant for her work for p:ear (program: education, art, recreation for homeless and transitional youth). Charman earned an MFA in Graphic Design from CalArts.
