Activity # 1: Animoto www.animoto.com
Students’ level: Intermediate.
Skills: Reading, Writing, Speaking and Listening
Objectives:
• Students will create a summary of their favourite film selecting some
photographs from their computers or by downloading the pictures from the net
in order to create a video using Animoto.
• To write a short summary of the film.
• To show their video creation to their classmates and tell them the film.

Steps:
1) Students will watch an example created by the teacher using ANIMOTO.
2) They will choose their favourite film.
3) They will download photographs from the net describing the film chosen.
4) They will create an account at ANIMOTO.
2. 5) They will create a video using ANIMOTO and they will also add music to the video.
They can either select a song from Animoto’s library or upload a song from their
computer. It can also be the film soundtrack.
6) They will send the link of their work to the teacher.
7) They teacher will create a class blog and post students’ videos.
8) In class, each student will show their video to their classmates and tell them a brief
summary of the film taking into account the following items:
What kind of film it is: drama, comedy, science fiction, etc.
Main character/s
Main theme of the film
Why the film is their favourite film.
Evaluation:
Students will be expected to:
Download pictures from the net.
Manage to create a video using ANIMOTO.
Write and tell the class a brief summary of the film chosen.
Activity # 2: Goanimate www.goanimate.com
Students’ level: Intermediate
Skills: Writing and Listening
Objectives:
• To create a cartoon film using GOANIMATE.
• To crate between 6 and 10 scenes.
• To apply everything they have learnt: tenses, vocabulary, etc.

Steps:
1) Students will watch an example created by the teacher using GOANIMATE.
2) They will create an account.

4) They will have to use between 6 and 10 scenes.
5) They can create a film on whatever topic or situation they wish. The idea is to apply
knowledge of the language and to manage to use GOANIMATE.
6) They will send the link of their work to the teacher.
7) They teacher will create a class blog and post students’ videos.
8) In class, students will share their cartoon film.
Evaluation:
Students will be expected to manage to create a cartoon film using GOANIMATE.
The teacher will evaluate students’ knowledge of the language taking into account their
movies.
Activity # 3: Penzu www.penzu.com
Students’ level: Upper-Intermediate
Skills: Writing
Objectives:
• To practise writing skill.
• To make up an imaginary situation or story based on a picture or pictures.
• To apply everything they have learnt: tenses, vocabulary, etc.
• To share what they have written with their classmates.

Steps:
1) Students will watch an example created by the teacher using PENZU.
2) They will create an account.
3) The teacher will give students 2 or 3 pictures and students will write an imaginary
situation or story based on the pictures.
6) They will send the link of their work to the teacher.
7) They teacher will create a class blog and post students’ writing.
Evaluation:
Students will be expected to manage PENZU.
4. The teacher will evaluate students’ knowledge of the language by reading their stories.
Activity # 4: Mixbook www.mixbook.com
Students’ level: Beginners
Skills: Speaking and writing
Objectives:
• To practise writing skill.
• Students will use this tool to create their own photo album adding some text
describing the pictures.
• To manage to use this tool successfully.
• Students will introduce the members of their families.
• To share what they have created with their classmates.

the members of their families.
