Progress in Lake DevelopmentThe Action plan approved by the Hon’bleHigh Court of Karnataka Committee providesfor :Survey and demarcation of the lake.Eviction of encroachment if any.Installing boundary fence.Stop the inflow of raw pollution into the lake.Strengthening the basic structures of the lake.De-silting, de-weeding, laying of embankmentsand rejuvenation of lakes
  4. 4. Accordingly following progress:BBMP - 55 lakes - 21 lakes developedBDA - 123 lakes - 12 lakes developedKFD - 5 lakes - 1 lake developedLDA - 4 lakes - 3 lakes developed
  5. 5. 16 NLCP assisted Lake Development projects.11 NLCP projects are completed.Lake prioritization list prepared according toNLCP guidelines.Technical Committee scrutinizes the DPRs beforesubmission.Collection of GPS readings for all the water bodiesin Bangalore district is in progress and GPSreadings for about 500 lakes have been collected.Digitization of lakes as per Revenue records isplanned.Basic data of all the lakes are being established.
