WD L-format problem
Usually we don’t suggest customer use the L-Format for WD driver, because there would
be some problems after the L-Format. But if the problem has happened to you, look at the
follow:
The status could be “ready”, but the SN number is chaos number and the LBA is ZERO.
So let’s research how to solve it.
Look at the module page:
None modules could be find except the #41 module.
How to solve it:
To the first situation, we could see the track info as follow:

So we need find a compatible module first.
Then, upload the #31 track.

After that, off-on power, then “load form HDD” again, all the modules of this driver could be
seen.
Then choose “Key Mods” and both “pri”,”Sec” head, set the right course and upload them:
Then off-on power again, the driver could be recognized normally (look at the LBA),
modify the SN number by manual:

After that, the driver is ok:
Because we have uploaded all modules, include P-list module, so all the LBA are bad:

Then we need zerofill or L-Format the HDD or selfscan to solve the problem, after that, it
would be ok.
The second situation is all the modules and tracks couldn’t be find:
About this situation, we must find a compatible resource file and “load from the file”, then
all the modules and tracks could be found, afterward follow the instruction as above could
solve the problem.
