This document discusses a health monitoring system using ZigBee devices that measures a user's physiological data. It proposes implementing access control through a group ID mechanism to ensure communication only between a single user's devices, as there may be many nearby ZigBee devices. It also proposes a method for reliable data transmission to prevent loss of physiological data transmitted wirelessly via ZigBee. Temperature and pulse rate sensors send data to a microcontroller and ZigBee transceiver, which transmits it to the receiving microcontroller where threshold values trigger an SMS alert to an authorized person via GSM modem.

1. ZIGBEE DEVICE ACCESS CONTROL AND RELIABLE
DATA TRANSMISSION IN ZIGBEE BASED HEALTH
MONITORING SYSTEM
ABSTRACT
In this project one user's health monitoring system has a few ZigBee devices to measure one
user's physiological data. Even if there are a lot of ZigBee devices nearby, the
communication should be accepted between only one user's ZigBee devices. So, the access
control should be implemented because there can be a lot of ZigBee devices nearby. We
propose a group ID mechanism to implement a access control. There is an access control in
MAC layer but we design and implement it in application layer to handle conveniently. The
physiological data must not be lost but a wireless communication such as zigbee can lose a
data. So, this project proposes the reliable data transmission not to lose a physiological data
in zigbee based health monitoring system. Here temperature and pulse rate sensor values
should be given to micro controller through ADC, that data given to the ZigBee trans receiver
.in receiver section zigbee transceiver will receiver will receive that information and given to
the micro controller. If exceeds their values gsm sends the sms to the authorized person.
When the temperature sensor and pulse sensor reaches the threshold value .it will transmit to
the receiver section and that values sends to the doctor using GSM MODEM. If at any time
we need the parameters of the persons so we need to press the switch the values of the person
is being received by the transmitter and sends the message using GSM MODEM.
