SGS Joins EarthSoft Business Partner Program Document Transcript

  • 1. Concord, MA – May 18, 2014 — The agreement making SGS an inaugural member of EarthSoft’s new Business Partner Program was signed today. With a dedicated in-house EQuIS development team and significant user experience with EarthSoft technologies, SGS is certified as an EarthSoft Business Partner providing EQuIS based services to industrial and government clients around the world. SGS offers a wide range of complimentary EQuIS data management services maximizing the benefits EarthSoft clients can receive from their EQuIS software portfolios. A global operating footprint means that SGS can provide clients with a consistent approach to the implementation and ongoing management of EarthSoft technologies, which in turn delivers significant benefits including lower costs, greater standardization, and corporate best practices. With an established global network of EQuIS professionals, SGS offers resources, support and contacts with local knowledge of environmental regulations, data standards and languages. EarthSoft and SGS will work collaboratively with multi-national corporations expanding their EQuIS use across their global site portfolios. SGS offers a “one stop shop” of field collection, laboratory and consulting services for clients implementing standards for data collection and management activities. In addition, SGS hosts and actively manages EQuIS data through its SGS E-Data service offering a central data store and web-based data reporting and analysis platform available anywhere, worldwide, anytime. EarthSoft and SGS have co-operated on new versions of EQuIS software, including the Sample Planning Module and EDGE (EQuIS Data Gathering Engine). With automated links to SGS’s Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS), workflow connectivity is improved, offering some of the best productivity and integration in the world between field, lab, and client environmental databases. EarthSoft CEO Mitch Beard commented that, “SGS is a leader in this market and offers global resources supporting EQuIS clients. We are glad to see a unified global data management vision emerge from a leading service provider and look forward to presenting SGS services to our large and growing client base.” SGS Executive Vice President for Environmental Services, Peter Possemiers commented that, “As a primary environmental data provider SGS are seeing that clients are drowning in the volumes of data we are supplying them, something EarthSoft recognized long ago. Joining the EarthSoft Business Partner Program allows SGS and EarthSoft to support a wider range of clients in using EQuIS to turn their environmental data into valuable information and knowledge, thus enhancing their environmental management strategies” About EarthSoft: EarthSoft’s EQuIS is the world’s most widely used environmental data management system.
