EQuIS™ Purchased by the National Park Service and US EPA Region 7
22 September 2011 – EarthSoft announced receipt today of two large EQuIS Enterprise orders, from the National Park Service - Water Resources Division and US EPA Region 7. EarthSoft’s WQX module was purchased by the National Park Service.
The National Park Service is a US Federal Agency that manages all national parks in an effort to conserve these federal lands. The system oversees and safeguards over 84 million acres, nearly 400 places, and 54 parks. The National Park Service also focuses on revitalizing communities with the help of local governments, businesses, and individuals.
The US Environmental Protection Agency Region 7 serves Iowa, Kansas, Missouri, Nebraska and nine Tribal Nations. EPA 7 focuses on:
• Protecting and improving water quality across the Missouri-Mississippi Basin
• Remedying polluted soil in neighborhood locations
• Enforcing new air quality laws.
The EPA Region 7 has had an EQuIS Professional license for two years and upgraded to a larger EQuIS configuration including web Enterprise modules offering cloud-computing EQuIS. Six different EPA Regions own EQuIS licenses.
