  • 2. 23rd Annual NARPM Training Program 1 What is an EDD?  Electronic Data Deliverable (EDD) – an electronic tabular format for storing, sharing, manipulating, and using data  PDFs are not electronic data!  Decisions can be made faster and better when all data is provided in a consistent electronic format
  • 3. 23rd Annual NARPM Training Program 2 Contents of an EDD  The EPA EDD has 4 sets of files  Initial, chemistry, geology, vapor intrusion  Initial  Base Map  Data Provider/Point of Contact  Site  Locational data
  • 4. 23rd Annual NARPM Training Program 3 Contents of an EDD  Chemistry  Sample  Sample parameter  Test result with QC  Test batch – information on the sample test/ relationship
  • 5. 23rd Annual NARPM Training Program 4 Contents of an EDD  Geology/Hydrogeology  Drilling activity  Lithology  Well monitoring well information  Well construction  Geology sample data  Water table data ( collected during drilling)  Down hole point – electronic log data  Soil gas  Water level  Extraction and injection well information

  • 7. 23rd Annual NARPM Training Program 6 What is a Valid Value?  A valid value is an cell entry that the EDD will accept.  You can not edit an EDD however you want!  There is a comprehensive set of appropriate entries for many fields that have already been predefined thanks to the work of R2 and R4.  What does do Valid Values look like and how are they used?  EPA Reference Values
  • 8. 23rd Annual NARPM Training Program 7 Valid Values Brings Order to Investigative/Remedial Process • Superfund projects should not be personality/person driven. • Ordered data allows other RPMs to easily pick up where you left off. • Good data management is a productivity booster for the agency.
