Content Selection <ul><li>No content selection strategy </li></ul><ul><li>EFG to use already existing digital objects </li></ul><ul><li>EFG mainly to rely on material that has already been rights cleared </li></ul><ul><li>Narrowing down content to themes for EFG would mean extremely little content to present </li></ul><ul><li>EFG will give access to ca. 700.000 items </li></ul>

Metadata interoperability & CWS <ul><li>Cinematographic Works Standard (CWS) partially applied in EFG </li></ul><ul><li>Current drafts and news: www.filmstandards.org </li></ul><ul><li>Part 1 specifies a minimum set of information elements for the unambiguous identification of film works. Primary goal not to generate new metadata </li></ul><ul><li>Part 2 is a specification for structuring machine-processable metadata about cinematographic works. This part of the standard can be used as a basis for data exchange between existing catalogue systems. </li></ul>
