  • 2. The need for digitization <ul><li>to keep Czech TV content from outdating </li></ul><ul><li>quick orientation and accessibility of archival materials </li></ul><ul><li>elimination of material loss </li></ul><ul><li>possibility of non-linear editing of materials etc. </li></ul>

Czech TV Archives Overview <ul><li>approx. 235,000 hours of AV records </li></ul><ul><li>approx. 1 , 200 hours are classified as the most valuable </li></ul><ul><li>TV archives – Prague, Brno and Ostrava </li></ul><ul><li>3 sections ( news archive , general archive , film library ) </li></ul>
