• The! traveler does not exists, but consists of several target groups with different interests, needs and cost drivers. The to determine the effective measure to change behavior into the desired direction.
• Having the focus on the commuter, we have determined the differed communication channels to reach those commuters since similar the traveller does not exists, also the commuter does not exist. So approach is needed i.e. via employer, lease company, marketing campaigns, different VAS, etc.
• Communication by different means and levels, from mass communication to individual assistance.
• Technical means to support the different ways communication. Multichannel approach combining existing and emerging ICT technologies Bill boards, brochures, newsletters, communicate website, open platform with smart phone, smart phone apps, widgets to incorporate the functionality into different web portals.
• Preliminary results from this approach until now. More than 5% decrease of commuters
• Conclusions: Open interface between nomadic device and in-vehicle device is an necessity. Combine existing ICT technology to get a multichannel approach to connect the traveler. This way of approach is the only way to valorize R&D activities concerning algorithms, etc.
