Project Benefits• The IDEA for GEN D6 upgrade, will allow future configurations and deployment to be faster and easier in future upgrades• The content services included in D6 will raise the end-user and the user community‟s productivity and acceptance• The EMC Documentum portfolio allows business process improvement in all document management areas like collaboration, creation and document retrieval, search, retention policy management, etc…• Outcomes of Project :  General Perception of performance improvement since upgrade  Future custom development effort will be reduced on future projects  General feedback from users is they like the new interface• IDEA for GEN is a very active system, therefore the upgrade was essential to enable functionality for upcoming projects10 #31888 - © fme AG

Webtop SSO Integration• Key Functionality  Transparent login into Webtop with windows login credentials  Use of DRL links without authentication  Access to protected DRL View documents without login  Change of repository without re-authentication  Timeout doesn‟t bring up login screen anymore• The solution utilizes the combination of two components to enable NTLM authentication in Webtop  Waffles (http://waffle.codeplex.com) NTLM security web application filter  EMC Documentum Webtop J2EE Principal Authentication Schema (Note: with minimal customization)12 #31888 - © fme AG

IDEA Webtop DropZone – Technical Details• Select folder in Webtop• Drags email(s) or complete email folder onto the DropZone (ActiveX Plugin)• Plugin stores Exchange information  Store owner  Store id  Message id  User Information  Target folder• Mail Processor service  Monitors request  Connects to the Exchange server to extract the necessary emails  Documentum Foundation Services (DFS) is used to import emails to repository  Report is created listing all processed emails with their import status  Duplicates are identified and skipped during the import14 #31888 - © fme AG
