    2. 2. The stakeholders  Residents of HSRLayout and villages of Ward 174  Smt. Latha N Murthy, Corporator – HSR Ward 174  Sri. Sathish Reddy, MLA - Bommanahalli  Bhruhat Bangalore Mahangara Palike (BBMP)  Bangalore Development Authority (BDA)  Bangalore Electricity Supply Company (BESCOM)  Bangalore Water Supply and Sewerage Board (BWSSB)  Directorate of Urban Land Transport (DULT)  Federation of HSR Layout Residents Welfare Associations.  Traffic Police  Ward Committee
    3. 3. Bringing it all together  NICC – Neighbourhood Improvement Co- ordination Committee is formed to bring together different agencies and organisations  Members of the committee are :  Chairman-Corporator  Ward committee  RWAs  BBMP, BWSSB, BESCOM, BDA, Traffic police
    4. 4. Engaging the residents  Stakeholders' meeting in HSR Layout and rural area  Painting Competition for the children to get the views of the future generation .  Regular meetings with residents, RWAs, Ward Committee and various government agencies  HSR NIP – Namma HSR Namma Neighbourhood – initiative to reach more residents and gather their input  HSR goes green walkathon – to kick start garbage segregation at source, construction of dry waste collection center
    5. 5. PPP activities  Encouraging public and private organisations to contribute to the locality by adopting or enhancing the existing infrastructure:  Signages for major roads and junctions  Park beautification and maintenance  Training for women and differently abled
    6. 6. Way forward  Decentralized model – development at ward level to ensure maximum reach  Active participation of the stakeholders  Promote community spirit and community living
