  • 2. Keep RefWorks open In order to start saving references, open up the database you wish to search in another window Open journal database in another window Select Database (eg. IEEE Xplore) and search for information
  • 3. Exporting references to RefWorks is different depending on which Database you are using The database used here is IEEE Xplore Select item > Select RefWorks > Download Citation
  • 4. The imported reference will always be sent to a folder called ‘Last Imported’ Click here to view the reference which has been imported
  • 5. Click on folder icon You can now move the reference to the folder of your choice Select reference Select folder you wish to move reference to
  • 6. You can see the reference in the chosen folder by clicking here This reference will ALSO remain in the ‘Last imported’ folder until you import new references
  • 7. Continue to add reference to RefWorks You can see the number of references you have in each folder here A helpsheet is available explaining how to export references to RefWorks from different databases: http://bit.ly/RefWorksExport
