Published on

The objectives of this survey are:

* Sketch out a mapping of Enterprise Collaboration Software adoption in Belgium (we limit respondents to companies having headquarters or major offices in our country).
* Surface the organisations’ responsiveness to Enterprise 2.0 concepts and tools, by averaging some core organisational components (structure, hierarchy, culture, distance, technology).
* Identify the main types of tools that would be likely to correspond to the average profile Belgian organisations.
* Identify the overall intentions of Belgian companies to step into the world of Enterprise Collaboration Software (budgets and timeframes).
* Have a rough view of the software market awareness within the Belgian companies.

 31. 31. 18
In details, organizational characteristics have an impact on the type of Enterprise 2.0 project launched within the company...
Just someexamples!
Expertisedorganizationsmaymake a stronger use of Blogs, Wikis & Collaborative spaces
Collective organizationsratherlaunch Collaborative spaces, Enterprise platforms, Microblogs... but not thatmuch (traditional) Blogs
Collaborative spaces (SharePoint...) willbelaunchedwhatever the companyis web minded or not!
Highlyinnovativeorganizations use all types of online collaboration tools (Blogs in particular) more thanlessinnovativeones
32. 32. Conclusion
19
33. 33. 20
There are some exiting insights!

Most of the respondents did launch an Enterprise 2.0 project within their company AND many of them are quite satisfiedabout it...
 34. 34. Launching such a project is a good triggerto launch other ones! (larger deployment of the same tool or implementation of another one)
 35. 35. Respondents’ organizations seem to be on the good wayto fit Enterprise 2.0 basic components (in terms of work organization & culture, HR, KM, innovation etc.)
 36. 36. Enterprise 2.0 tools are the most suitable for “mature” organizations... but less mature ones are quite receptive too!
 37. 37. Relevancy and appeal of such tools depend on an organization’s purpose & “Enterprise 2.0 readiness”

21
But let’s keep in mind that...

Respondents to this survey may be particularly “Enterprise 2.0 minded”
 38. 38. Collaborative spacespopularity may be biased by the massive deployment of SharePoint within any types of companies (and then not only for “pure” Enterprise 2.0 purposes)
 39. 39. Appeal for Enterprise 2.0 projects is well there but budget seems to be a quite sensitive issue
 40. 40. It is not only sufficient to be “Enterprise 2.0 ready” to succeed, change managementeffort is still of great value
 41. 41. Contemporary organizations remain quite e-mail minded and local managerssomewhat resistant

22
Nevertheless...

Enterprise 2.0 & Online collaboration projects are for everyone...
 42. 42. Large companies but also SME’s
 43. 43. Companies from the private sector... but from the public sectortoo !
 44. 44. All levels & positionsare concerned within the organization ! (top & middle managers, marketeers, IT people... as well as HR representatives!)

Thank You
Do you have any questions?
CONTACT US AT CONTACT@K-CY.COM
23
