1. 1.
 2. 2. I Think We Have Better Technology
3. 3. Look around, the world’s changing and to prove that, look at the cell phone you might have. To think that cell phone started as a massive brick that didn’t fit into a pocket. Another example is our computers.
4. 4. The laptops are a miracle! Some are the size of the original computer’s keyboard; plus all the application on and off the internet. It’s a wonder to think that without the technologies today, we wouldn’t have great graphic, safe warfare, etc.
5. 5. Now, I went to, and then I typed in “web 2.0 tools and applications,” “collaborative technologies,” “emerging technologies,” and “social media” (these are just few things computers gave us).
6. 6. After I typed each one of these, I clicked on the one that had a definition (Wikipedia was most likely). Once I found what they meant (by reading), I doubled checked by going to a different web site that explained them (only a few were doubled checked; usually by Google).
7. 7. I mainly looked, and found, the definitions, but sometimes I would find a list, and that was some more information (the list’s websites I found are not below). The definitions for these words are below.
8. 8. The definitions are: Web 2.0 refers to what was perceived as a second generation of web development and web design, Collaborative Software (also referred to as groupware, workgroup support systems or simply group support systems) is software designed to help people involved in a common task achieve their goals,
9. 9. Emerging Technologies are those technical innovations which represent progressive developments within a field for competitive advantage, and Social Media is media designed to be disseminated through social interaction, created using highly accessible and scalable publishing techniques.
10. 10. I found a list of “web 2.0 and applications”. The list gave me some names of web 2.0 like Twenty Feet, Moodler, Favetop, Soluto, etc. After I found a list of “web 2.0 and applications”, I was eager to find more information on the other words.
11. 11. I only found one clear answer of what “collaborative technology” is: Huddle.netenables secure collaboration with all people involved in the success of your business – employees, customers, partners and suppliers. “Social media” is basically socializing via internet, or any other media.
12. 12. The web sites I went to were helpful; although some changed the names (like collaborative technologies switched to collaborative software instead).
13. 13. Wikipedia is an excellent site to go to for information even though they change some names, so it’s a bit difficult to find what I’m looking for (plus they’re being sued for false information). Google, on the other hand, is very helpful because it actually gives you part of the definition and a following URL. So, if I ever have to look up words like these, I’ll use Google first.
14. 14. Technology has improved so much from the first computer in the 1970s, that took up a whole room. Now a days a computer barley takes up any room. And the cell phone use to be “bricks”, now they’re so slim you can hardly notice them in tight pocket.
15. 15. The graphics in the computers, iPods, video games and videos themselves are very high in quality. So, in the end, technology has gotten a lot better since the introduction of electricity and the power outlet.
