Why I started Dreamcookies It’s easy, because I care about health. I knew that I was not the only mother out there struggling to cope with food intolerances and thelack of healthy snacks out there to feed my two growing and always hungry sons. I also had friends and family constantly knocking at my door asking for advice or recipes on how to keep their snacking healthy. So I sat down and got creative…

What some of our Clients say My daughter is diabetic and she got the Gluten Free Amaretti over Christmas as a present. She loved the taste and I would like to know if there are any shops in the Randburg are that keep stock of your biscuits, and which biscuits are available for diabetics - Karen Nel My friend recently bought me some of your cookies in Johannesburg when he was there visiting his mother. They're delicious and currently almost the only kind of "sweets" I can eat, since I'm on a no-sugar, no-wheat diet. Please let me know where I can get them from. - Corne Faber These cookies are incredible! I am on an anti-Candida diet and can eat the Blueberry Yoghurt cookies - the only sweet treat I can find. I just wanted to thank your company for being so wholesome and hope you inspire more such products in SA. - Chantal van Ginkel I have recently had the privilege of purchasing and eating your cookies. I would just like to tell you that they are absolutely fantastic! They are the best thing ever! Your biscuits are not just for diabetics but for dieters too… I am not diabetic – but was dieting and lost a total of 17kg over the last four months. I am also a strict vegan vegetarian and I try and avoid sugar as much as possible, and of course your biscuits were just the thing. - Barbara Ingrim Ekwil nogal sêdatjulleeen van die min maatskappy is watregtiggoeiedienslewer en ‘n menswil help. ‘n Menssukkel nogal omditdeesdaetekry. Something Good Our cookies are made from only the finest ingredients - Approximately 90% of our ingredients are sourced from Europe and America and that is what makes our cookies more expensive than common cookies, that and the fact that we are bringing our clients a very good food instead of empty calories and unhealthy fats.
Something Better We use GMO free ingredients whenever we can get hold of it (our fructose is GMO free, our Oats is imported from England for the same reason as is our cornflour which comes from Holland). Organic herbs and spices are also used wherever possible and we use no margarines or cheap fats normally used in cookies. Our product also contains no Preservatives, No Colourants – even our eggs are sourced from a farmer who does not put colourant into the water his chickens drink, No Artificial Flavourants and No Artificial Sweeteners like Aspartame, Aceculphane K and Saccharine. All our cookies are Slow Cooked. The higher and the longer any food is heated, the more nutrients are destroyed and the more the fats in the foodstuff will change and become poisonous to the human body. Some cities in Europe are now declared Slow Cooking towns as they do not overheat and kill their food. We bake our cookies mostly at 110 degrees with some being baked at 120 degrees and only a few at 130 degrees as opposed to 180 - 220 normally used
FAQs Q.My son is on a diet without any preservatives due to ill health, could you please tell me which cookies he can eat? A.We do not use any preservatives other than Vitamin C and Vitamin E in any of our cookies Q.Do cookies that are Wheat Free contain any Gluten? A.Yes, they do. The Wheat Free Cookies normally contain Oats and Oats contains a small amount of Gluten. Some people can tolerate the small amount of Gluten in Oats. Rye, Wheat, Oats and Barley all contain gluten. Q.Some of your cookies contain fructose, howcome they are suitable for diabetics? A.On the labels of the cookies that do contain fructose, you will see directly under the name of the cookies the amount of fructose in a 100g of the particular cookie. This helps the diabetic work out how many of that cookie he/she can safely eat. Furthermore the amount of fructose in the cookies is far less than the amount of sugar in “normal” cookies. The cookies are also very high in nutrients, so if you look at the balance of nutrients, the fructose makes out a small part of it. Some diabetics are allowed fructose and for those who are not, we have a wide range of Sugar Free cookies made specially for people who are not allowed any sugar nor fructose. Q.I am mot allowed any chocolate (cocoa) and would like to which cookies can I eat? A.Carob Crunchies and Date Cookies contain no cocoa. They contain only carob. You can eat any of the other cookies that do not contain the word CHOC or CHOCOLATE in the name. Q.I am on a fat restricted diet and would like to know whether you have any cookies that are suitable for me? A. No Fat, Wheat Free Cookies and Amaretti are ideal for anyone on a fat restricted diet. Furthermore all our cookies contain much less fat than “normal” cookies.
